Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a school nurse for our extended school year program that runs from July 6th through August 13th.

The Timothy School is the oldest non-profit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism. For over 50 years, we have worked to develop an understanding of autism that recognizes the strengths and uniqueness of our children and the specialized methods needed to expand their educational opportunities.

Job Snap Shot:

The School Nurse helps to advance the well-being and overall health of The Timothy School’s students by focusing on providing preventive services, identifying problems in their earliest stages, and overseeing interventions and emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse License

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the administration of medications to students, and monitor off-site administration. Complete all health-related documentation. Maintain all school AED devices.
  • Provide guidance and support to administration/staff regarding any health-related student issues. In emergency situations, administer First Aid as needed, and determine the need for any emergency transport. Contact parents, as necessary, when students become ill or during emergency situations, and maintain lines of communication until resolution.
  • Maintain student confidentiality in compliance with The Family Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Assist with maintaining ongoing health and safety of school building/population through duration of COVID-19-related restrictions and modifications, including daily monitoring of student/staff health, maintaining communication with Chester County Department of Health as needed and following metrics/recommendations related to COVID-19.
